PEFC is a global organisation that promotes sustainable forestry management

Products which are declared PEFC or bear CCM’s PEFC mark guarantee that the paper of which they are made is sourced from environmentally, socially and economically sustainable forests.

A PEFC certified forest is a forest managed according to internationally recognised best practices. These regulations are established by the PEFC non-profit, together with other stakeholders, including the forest owners and managers, environmental associations and consumer associations.

Every year, external and independent auditors not only run annual compliance audits of the forests themselves, but also audit all the companies involved in processing the product, down to our clients. The aim is to guarantee that the product is genuinely eco-friendly and respectful of the environment and people.

These regulations ensure that our forests will continue to flourish for centuries and future generations will continue to benefit from them, with the production of essential materials like wood, paper, honey, woodland fruits, pure air and water, as well as benefitting from their absorption of carbon dioxide, conservation of biodiversity and the availability of places for recreation and regeneration.

TÜV AUSTRIA OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL CERTIFICATION

All of CCM’s ECO RANGE is made of biodegradable, compostable and food-safe paper and film, and complies with the requirements of the OK compost INDUSTRIAL certification system, and hence also with EN 13432:2002, titled “Requisites for packaging recoverable through composting and biodegradation – Test scheme and assessment criteria for final acceptance of packaging”.

To ensure the compliance of our products, we have obtained TÜV AUSTRIA CERT GMBH certifications that attest that they have passed analysis and can be disposed of as organic household waste.
